my first idea was masks. inspired by a recent Halloween dress up as the rock band KISS i thought it was interesting how they changed members but kept makeup the same, therefore creating these new masked identities as the band, the real people not being important.

i took that idea and placed images from random google searches onto the faces of my same 4 friends and after a short tutorial i was guided onto the idea of surreal collage from the cat/charley and foot/jeff images. so i went on to create several surreal collages that day. some more successful than others.

from these i decided to try and make these surreal collages move. i had been encouraged to attempt performance by my tutor and thought an animation would be a good way to move my work. but i cant upload them onto this blog. so thats a pity. theyre here though, i hope!:
